“The Prophetic Voice at Qumran and Contemporary Communities”
The Leonardo Museum is hosting an academic conference this weekend in tandem with their ongoing Dead Sea Scrolls exhibit. Sessions feature notable speakers including Emanuel Tov, professor emeritus, Hebrew University of Jerusalem, and Donald W. Parry, Brigham Young University professor and author of Illuminating the Dead Sea Scrolls.
Conference sessions will take place on Friday, April 11 between 2 PM and 9 PM and on Saturday, April 12 from 9 AM to 4 PM. The Leonardo Museum is located at 209 East 500 South in Salt Lake City.
The free conference is sponsored by The Leonardo Museum and Brigham Young University’s Religious Studies Center, Richard L. Evans Chair of Religious Understanding, the College of Humanities, and the Neal A. Maxwell Institute for Religious Scholarship. Tickets for the exhibit itself are at regular price.
