Joe Bonyata is director of publications at the Maxwell Institute. He received a BA in journalism from the University of Minnesota, a Certificate in the Business of Publishing from the University of Chicago, and recently attended the Yale Publishing Course. Joe began his 20-plus years in book publishing at Fortress Press, a noted publisher of academic books in theology and biblical studies. After Fortress, he worked as managing editor at Quayside Publishing Group, which publishes a long list of illustrated four-color titles. Joe then served as director of editorial production for the New York trade publisher Perseus Books Group, overseeing the publication of over 200 new titles a year for the Basic Books, Public Affairs, Da Capo, and Running Press imprints. Joe lives in Orem with his wife, Barbara (Gordon), and has three children, Alexandra, Isabella, and Elijah.
